Students complete four years of pre-professional courses in this programme who can work as Medical Laboratory Scientist at various health settings and clinical research centers.

This course has a strong clinical focus and prepares students for careers in medical laboratory science through the study and understanding of the normal functions of the human body and the mechanisms of disease.

MLS graduates can serve as consultants, managers, sales and technical representatives, and educators. Medical laboratory scientists are trained to work in the field of clinical chemistry, hematology, immunohematology, immunology and microbiology, with various sub-specialties in each of these major areas.

The program of study is designed to provide the knowledge and technical skills necessary to qualify an individual for work in a diagnostic clinical laboratory, research, or industry.
